Taking off for my first R&R break; will be swinging by DC to do some debriefings and talk some of our counterparts in Foggy Bottom. Looking forward to kicking back in Gettysburg, next to a deep lake with enormous fish. And a quiet battlefield. Much quieter than this one. Come on by if you feel like it. I'll be out back somewhere. A couple of days there and then I'm taking the road trip with Steve. In the Balkans. We fly into Budapest and then who knows what's going to happen. At some point we'll end up in Sarajevo. I hear Croatia is nice this time of year. I hear it's nice pretty much any time of the year. Steve was in the Balkans with 1st Cav back during the Dayton Accords days- we may drop in on some of the old villages he used to do weapons accountability inspections in. We'll bring the vodka in case any Russian colonels show up. Another old battlefield. They're much better to visit when they're old.
