Now we are waiting for the Prime Minister to weigh in on who should be Mayor of Baghdad. It’s been almost two weeks since the storming of the Amanat and the Provincial Council named a temporary Mayor. Reports continue to vary on the number and role of armed men during the event; many versions claim that they were merely the bodyguards for all of the VIPs who were there. Regardless, it’s considered a move of doubtful legality.
