Made my day. My week. I always get a kick out of getting random emails from folks I haven't heard from in long time; I have signed up for a few of those networking sites - I always forget which ones I have profiles on. Anyway, they are pretty useful for connecting to people you may have lost touch with. I get a couple of emails a week from folks inviting me to 'LinkIn' or whatever. Sort of a nice little tidbit to wrap up my day with; after a long day out of or in the office, finding a random email from some corner of my past. Brightens up my day. I just got one of the best ones ever - from way back - Freshman year at Penn - 1990 - I don't remember if I bribed her, or if she came willingly, but Erica Firpo went to an ROTC ball with me; she dropped me a line from Rome, where she's doing some freelance writing. You know, a lot of folks talk about moving to Rome and becoming a freelance writer but I think very few ever end up doing it. If you get a chance, check out her blog: MOSCERINA.
