I had the opportunity to visit the Rotary Club of Sunbury, PA and speak on my experiences in Iraq. I received a very warm welcome- which I attributed to the growing resemblance of my hairline to a former Sunbury Rotarian, my father Fred Bisbee, and the possible confusion that that may have created.

After a very complimentary introduction by program director Mike Nailor, I took a few minutes to talk about the job I performed in Iraq, my experiences with the Iraqi people, and provide some commentary on the overall situation and where I saw it headed. I tried to stress the fact that as much as the US has influenced Iraq, our presence in Iraq is influencing our military and our government in many ways, perhaps in ways that previous conflicts like the Second World War and Vietnam did, but perhaps in even more fundamental ways considering the much different geopolitical situation we face in the early years of the new millenium. My thanks to the Club for welcoming me back to Central PA. Another note of thanks to Mr. Winfield Gibbs, who provided the photo and the copy of the
Spokesman that appears below.
