Carey Nelson Sheaffer
22 September 1947 - 5 February 2008
Carey died suddenly on Tuesday, February 5 after a struggle with lung cancer. Carey's death is a great loss to his family and to our Central Pennsylvania community. I have fond memories of many Boy Scout outings spent with Carey and his sons, Jeff and Chris. I was lucky enough to recently re-connect with Carey after many years away from the Susquehanna Valley and truly understand, now as an adult, why he was held in such high esteem when I was young. He will be sorely missed.
